Open Swedish Championships
Local rules here.
This is an Open competition folowing
the FAI regulations for cat2 events, making this competition valid for
the FAI World Ranking. The FAI regulations also state that the
competition must be open for pilots from all pilots with FAI Sports
licens. Norwegian and Swedish pilots must also have the national akro
licens.
There will two different rankings,
and we will announce two winners. The "Overall champion" and the "Swedish
champion". To become the "Swedish champion" you must be Swedish.
The Open Swedish Championships - acro
paragliding is a SOLO competition. The pilots will fly one by one
performing their program, ending the flight with a spectakular landing
on the raft. xtra points for spirals, watertouch and spinlandings. So you'd better
practice your spot landing if you want to keep dry.
Some pilots think the 2006 raft was to short.
So we make the 2008 version bigger.
The new raft will be approx.
50m2 and 25cm high above the water. A carpet will make it less
slippery (less fun?) than the 2006 edition.
We know that there are some exellent
Swedish acro pilots out there, but we also know that the general level
in Sweden is lower that the elite international lpilots. Therefor all
runs with fixed program will have main focus on the simpler manouvers
like: SAT, wing-overs and asymetric spiral..
The flying is judged by three judges
giving each manouver points between 0 and 100 points, as well as
judging the landing and total impression.
